Mortal Kombat was one of the greatest — and cheesiest — action movies of all time.

And it proved you can adapt a video game into quality cinema.

Now Mortal Kombat is coming back with a “realistic” R-rated reboot.

Johnny Cage, Liu Kang, Sub-Zero, Sonya Blade, and Kano are all returning characters from the original film.

Here’s a first look at the new film’s versions.

Looks pretty good.

It will be hard for them to top the original of course.

Especially the music!
