Mets Pitcher Says Tim Tebow Has Legit Shot to Make the Roster
Tim Tebow won two national titles with the Gators.
He won a playoff game starting at QB for the Denver Broncos.
But his greatest athletic accomplishment might be making the New York Mets roster after switching to baseball.
One Mets pitcher thinks he can do it.
"He's definitely an athlete, he showed some good things last year. " said Dellin Betances. "The guy, he's determined. So, he works hard. He's determined to get there. You never know."
In 2018, Tebow hit .273 with a .734 OPS at Double-A Binghamton and made the Double-A All-Star team before getting injured.
Tebow actually making a major league roster after picking baseball back up at the age of 28 would be, dare we say….miraculous.
Tebow homered in his first pro at-bat.
He also homered after greeting this young fan with autism.
2021 just might be Tebow’s year.
