The Lakers Honored Kobe Bryant On Their New Championship Rings
The NBA season began tonight, and the Lakers were given their 2020 championship rings.
The Lakers honored the late great Kobe Bryant on their 2020 rings with two tributes to the Black Mamba.
The first tribute is the design of a snake representing the "Black Mamba" wrapped around each player's jersey number on the side of the ring.
The rings also have a detachable top, which reveals all the retired numbers in the franchise, including Bryant's #8 and #24 jerseys.
The team wore special Black Mamba uniforms during their title run.
The rings were made in 4 weeks by Jason of Beverly Hills, and had 804 diamonds each.
Bryant, by the way, in addition to leaving behind an incredible basketball legacy, and began writing and publishing children’s books before he passed.
Bryant was truly becoming a special leader before he passed.
Rest in Peace Kobe!
