Mortal Kombat's Original Footage for the Characters is LIT
Mortal Kombat is one of the greatest fighting games of all time.
Sub-Zero. Liu Kang. Johnny Cage. Scorpion.
The moves, the sounds, the finishes.
But part of what makes Mortal Kombat so great is the footage of the characters in the game was built from actual recordings of people doing those moves in costume.
Check this out.
First off, the guy playing Kano fully committed to that throw. Legendary.
And the guy playing Liu Kang pulled off a serious roundhouse kick.
The man playing Raiden definitely believed he was about to shoot lightning out of his hands.
Street Fighter could never.
The footage of the real life Sagat throwing Tiger uppercuts has yet to be seen.
