Highlights From the NBA's Return: Miami's Hot Shooter, Bol Bol, and L.A. Legacy Battles
And just like that, sports are back.
It feels a little weird with no fans in the stands, but basketball fanatics will take what we can get.
Let’s run through some highlights of the first games back.
Miami’s Duncan Robinson returned and immediately resumed drilling 3s.
This type of red hot shooting makes Miami a true threat in the East.
Denver rookie Bol Bol started seeing his first extended action this season, and it was wild. This 7’2’’ long boi is burying 3s and swatting shots at the rim.
It looks like Denver got a second round steal, and Bol looks confident in what amounts to the beginning of his second season. Remember, this year’s rookies would be in their second year of training camp around this time if not for the layoff.
Another rookie, Zion Willamson, showed off some fancy passing skills.
Mavericks star Luke Doncic dusted off his stepback 3 in his return.
Dion Waiters is playing hungry with the Lakers, drilling this shot to end the quarter. Waiters could be an X-factor for the Lakers in the playoffs.
The Toronto Raptors showed off what passing the ball around can do to a defense.
Kawhi Leonard faked out Lonzo Ball and got right to the basket before getting hacked.
And the Nuggets look like they might have another steal in Michael Porter, Jr.
The NBA kicked out the bottom 8 teams to restart their season, so only the cream of the crop is playing in Orlando right now.
Will Kawhi defeat LeBron in the battle for Los Angeles and take down the King’s legacy?
Will Giannis finally win the East or will a surprise victor emerge?
