Baseball Writers Voted for No New Members for the Hall of Fame in 2021
Here’s a list of just some of the candidates for the Baseball Hall of Fame:
Barry Bonds
Roger Clemens
Curt Schilling
Gary Sheffield
Manny Ramirez
Sammy Sosa
Andy Petitte
Todd Helton
Andruw Jones
Tim Hudson
Barry Zito
If you played fantasy baseball growing up, or even watched a single All-Star game between 2000-2010, you would know this is a list of all-time baseball greats.
And somehow, the baseball writers that vote on who makes the Hall of Fame voted for NONE OF THEM.
Here’s their official 2021 tally.
What is wrong with these guys to vote in NOBODY from that list.
And somehow, 14 of these writers decided to cast a blank ballot and literally didn’t even vote for anyone!
Leave aside that Clemens and Bonds are two of the greatest players of all time.
It used to be that 500 home runs was an automatic entry to the Hall of Fame.
Gary Sheffield hit 509. Can’t make it into the club somehow?
The ostensible reason these baseball voters aren’t voting for new members is “steroids.”
Barry Zito was never even accused of using any, and he won a World Series and a Cy Young.
The baseball writers are nerds that treat the Hall of Fame as an exclusive club for their childhood heroes, and sneer at the living legends of the game.
Shameful stuff!
Kanye West shows more respect for these should-be Hall of Famers.
Give Kanye a Hall of Fame vote and take the vote from the baseball writers forever!
