New Technology Allows You to Beam Music Directly to Your Head
The future is here.
You can now beam sound to your ears, no headphones required.
Noveto Systems has a new desktop device coming out called the SoundBeamer 1.0.
It uses “sound beaming” whereby a 3-D sensing module locates and tracks your ear’s position and then uses ultrasonic waves to send you audio, creating sound pockets around their ears.
Seriously.
“Sound beaming” is apparently not new tech, but Noveto has created the first consumer item to employ it.
So what was it used for before? Military tech?
Did James Bond have one of these?
Somehow, the device knows which ears to target — and it follows the listener wherever they go.
“Most people just say, ‘Wow, I really don’t believe it,’” said SoundBeamer product manager Ayana Wallwater. “You don’t believe it because it sounds like a speaker, but no one else can hear it … it’s supporting you and you’re in the middle of everything. It’s happening around you.”
The most others in the room could hear is a “little bit” of sound, according to Wallwater, but “you don’t get the volume.”
People need to know this gadget exists ASAP, otherwise somebody is going to buy this thing and make people in their house think they are crazy for being the only one hearing noises!
