A documentary series is coming out chronicling infamous rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine, and the director is not his biggest fan.

“Supervillain” director Karam Gill says the rapper is “truly a horrible human being” with no morals or talent — but calls him a “social media mastermind” with an uncanny ability to “spark a reaction.”

“I think viewers will be shocked to realize how hyper calculated [he is]” said Gill. “Tekashi was someone who never did anything online on accident. Every click, word and action online was designed with care to spark a reaction.”

“From a wider scope, I realized it’s an extremely important story that shines a light on where we are as a culture,” added Gill. “We’re living in the era of manufactured celebrity, where people can create inauthentic online personas and rise to fame without any talent or morals. Tekashi’s story is exactly that — he’s someone who realized the power of having your own platform.”

Gill also called Tekashi a “social media mastermind.”

“I was surprised to find out how much of a social media mastermind [Tekashi] truly was,” said Gill. “His understanding of how human beings operate on these platforms is incredible.”

Tekashi, aka Daniel Hernandez, was sentenced in 2018 to two years in prison for racketeering and other charges. When he was released after testifying against other defendants, his single Gooba grabbed over 680 million views on YouTube.

The director Gill, who has never met Tekashi, also said “the public and media hates him because he is truly a horrible human being who has done terrible things. And from an overall perspective, he loves to instigate and aggravate which is something that naturally sparks a reaction.”

Tekashi’s attorney, Lance Lazzaro, defended his client, saying “It’s the furthest thing from the truth. Danny’s talent speaks for itself, and Danny is a good human being.”

As for his “snitching” on his former accompices, Tekashi previously said, “Listen, I snitched (and) I ratted, but who was I supposed to be loyal to? But where was the loyalty when you were sleeping with my baby mother? Where was the loyalty when you were caught on the wiretap trying to kill me? Where was the loyalty when you tried to kidnap my mother? Where was the loyalty when you stole millions of dollars, so who broke it first?”

With a man who styles himself like the Joker, who knows what’s true with Tekashi.

The documentary is sure to be entertaining, that’s all we know.
