McDonald’s is not content with selling burgers and fries.

Oh no.

They need to sell haircuts bro.

McDonald’s Sweden just opened up the world’s first “Golden M Barber Shop” in Stockholm.

It specializes in helping people get the haircut made famous by Zachery Ty Bryan on the 90s sitcom Home Improvement.

McDonald’s is calling the haircut the “The Golden M” hairstyle. Apparently this 90s haircut is all the rage in Sweden.

“When we realized that people were wearing our Golden Arches, we had to act,” said Staffan Ekstam, the marketing director at McDonald’s Sweden. “We started the M Barber Shop not only to guard our Golden M, but also to claim it once and for all. The salon is a celebration dedicated to our beloved ambassadors — a helping hand to guide them on how to keep their M’s in perfect trim, even when we can’t move around as freely as we usually can.”

Within two hours of the launch, all salon appointments with influencer hairstylist Adam Lukacs were fully booked,

But wait. This story gets even dumber.

The appointments were all digital.

Even though Sweden is not enforcing lockdowns, McDonald’s only offered virtual sessions on how to do the haircut.

2020, you can be over now.
