What's Your State's Favorite Christmas Movie? One Company Found Out
Think you know what your state’s favorite Christmas movie is?
Now you don’t have to guess.
Comparitech used Google Trends data to figure out what the most popular movies were in each state.
Take a look.
First off, this map has definitively answered the age old question, “Is Die Hard a Christmas movie?”
Alaska, Washington and Nebraska say “Yes, and it is the BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIE.”
Florida, Texas, Oklahoma, New York, New Jersey, Illinois, Iowa, and Virginia all nailed the CORRECT answer, which is Home Alone.
West Virginia and Kentucky aren’t wrong with How The Grinch Stole Christmas, as long as it’s the cartoon version and not the insane Jim Carrey one.
Massachusetts did well with The Muppet Christmas Carole.
Wisconsin went with the classic It’s A Wonderful Life.
Nevada and Pennsylvania are hilarious for loving Bad Santa most of all.
California and Rhode Island are weird as hell for picking Edward Scissorhands as their favorite Christmas movie.
And Utah and Wyoming just straight up chose wrong with The Santa Clause. Do better!!
But how did not one state go with A Christmas Story?
Someone should go to jail for that. Immediately!
