Is Ben Simmons Moving Away From Point Guard for Philadelphia?

He’s a former #1 pick in the NBA draft.

He’s a two-time All-Star.

And it looks like he’s moving positions.

Philadelphia 76ers point guard Ben Simmons may soon be Philadelphia power forward Ben Simmons. 76ers coach Brett Brown announced that during practices in Orlando, “The last few days I played [Ben] exclusively as a four-man. To always have Ben have to have the ball and dribble it up against five guys after made baskets especially…to do that I think dilutes some of his potent weapons, speed.”

Second-year point guard Shake Milton is stepping into a starting role for Philly after a series of strong performances, including dropping 39 points on the Clippers in March.

The new lineup sends five-time All-Star Al Horford to the bench.

The new Sixers lineup with feature Milton, shooting guard Josh Richardson, small forward Tobias Harris, Simmons, and All-Star center Joel Embiid.

Will the new lineup be enough to push Philly past teams like Milwaukee, Boston, and Miami in the playoffs?

That all remains to be seen!
