While the NBA Was Shut Down, Streetball Legends Stayed Hustling - and Winning
For months, basketball fans couldn’t get their fix on TV because of the shutdown. The one place they could turn for new basketball highlights?
YouTube.
On YouTube, popular streetball players like Tristan Jass delivered full court battles at a time when the NBA playoffs were missing in action. In this video, T. Jass played at an Illinois court with more people watching courtside than the newly restarted NBA games.
T. Jass was drilling 3s and scoring on nice layups, but his team kept forgetting the cardinal rule of pickup - always guard the fat guy that only shoots 3s.
In this video, T. Jass was drilling jumpers while the young crowd was literally going wild.
And1 legend The Professor also made his return to the court before the NBA’s restart. The Professor showed off his lightning quick moves on a California court.
And for those who forgot, The Professor dropped some unreleased footage of the epic games he played dressed as Spider-Man.
It’s one thing to beat your trash-talking opponent one on one.
It’s another thing to beat them while dressing like and - most likely - playing like Spider-Man.
To the streetball legends that entertained us while the NBA was away, The Daily Dropout salutes you!
