"Gorilla Glue Girl" Undergoes Surgery to Remove Glue from Hair

The TikToker named Tessica Brown that went to the emergency room after putting Gorilla Glue in her hair has now undergone a successful surgery.

“The surgery went well,” said Dr. Michael Obeng, director of MiKO Plastic Surgery. “Tessica is doing well. She’s awake. The hair crew is doing her hair.”

Obeng combined medical-grade adhesive remover, aloe vera, olive oil and acetone to break down the polyurethane in the Gorilla Glue.

Tessica had tried to use rubbing alcohol to remove the super strong glue but that failed, and at the hospital they tried acetone, which also failed. The acetone actually burned her scalp and only made the glue gooey before it hardened back up. She spent 22 hours at the ER.

After the four-hour procedure, Brown got emotional when she realized that she could run her fingers through her hair.

Obeng did the chemical treatment free. It would normally cost more than $12,000.

Tessica, who raised over $9,000 in crowdfunding for her medical bills, is walking away with a nice score from this whole ordeal.

It was previously reported she wanted to sue Gorilla Glue over this incident, and she later said that was untrue.

Tessica had been preparing to wear wigs for the rest of her life and is happy that she won’t need them.

And let this be a lesson to everyone — don’t put something called GORILLA GLUE in your hair!

But you probably knew that already.
