#10) PCU

PCU is an American comedy co written by Zak Penn (The Avengers) about student life at the fictional college Port Chester University. The administration there has outlawed Greek life, driving the fraternities underground (figuratively not literally). To get the residents of the biggest party house on campus evicted, the president of the college serves them with a huge damage bill from their last semester. With no ways of paying it, the house members decide to throw a party to raise the funds. This film pokes fun at the pretentiousness of political correctness when it becomes forced down peoples throats. It stars the very funny David Spade (Tommy Boy), Jeremy Piven (Entourage), Jessica Walters (Archer) and John Favreau (Chef). There is even a performance by the legendary George Clinton and the Parliament-Funkadelic.  



#9) House Party

House Party is an American comedy starring Kid and Play, a hip hop duo of the late 1980’s and 1990’s. It chronicles two friend’s nights as they attend a Highschool party. They out smart bullies, dance with girls, and run from police. This film received critical acclaim and since has become a cult classic. It was so popular that they made two sequels after it. A young Martin Lawrence (bad boys) also stars in the film, with a cameo appearance by renowned funk musician George Clinton. 



#8) Risky Business

Risky Business is a 1983 American romantic comedy about a high achieving, wealthy, high school student named Joel Goodson. Joel’s parents go out of town, so he takes advantage of his new found freedom to take the stress away of applying to Princeton University.  Starring a young Tom Cruise in one of his first main roles, it’s a funny and entertaining movie about young love, risk taking, and teenage partying. 



7) Bachelor Party

Bachelor Party is a 1984 American comedy starring Tom Hanks (Captain Philips), who plays a hard partying Catholic school bus driver named Rick Gassko. When Rick tells his buddies he got engaged to his long time girlfriend, they decide to throw him the greatest bachelor party of all time. Rick’s girlfriend Debbie and her friends also have her bridal shower the same night. Debbie’s jealous ex boyfriend, with the help of her disapproving father, plans to sabotage the night and win Debbie back. Directed by Neal Israel, who previously did Police Academy, Bachelor Party has become a classic 1980’s comedy.  



6) Get Him to the Greek

Get Him to the Greek stars Jonah Hill (Superbad), who plays an intern of a record company that has to escort an out of control British rockstar, played by Russel Brand (Forgetting Sarah Marshal) from London to the legendary Greek Theater in Los Angeles. Trying to keep the rockstar sober enough to make his appointments, the intern also juggles his relationship problems with his girlfriend who is thinking of moving to Seattle. This film is packed full of hilarious actors like Aziz Ansari (Parks and Recreation), Nick Kroll (Kroll Show), Ellie Kemper (The Office), Jake Johnson (New Girl), Kristen Bell (Forgetting Sarah Marshall), T.J. Miller (Dead Pool) and even rapper/entrepreneur  Sean Combs (P. Diddy).

5) Waiting…

Waiting… is an independent comedy film that chronicles a day in the life of workers at a fictional restaurant called Shenanigans. The film follows multiple storylines, including a worker deciding whether to quit or to take a promotion, a worker who needs to get over his fear of peeing in public and a new employee who always gets interrupted when he wants to say something.  Waiting… stars Justin Long, Ryan Reynolds, Ana Farris, Andy Milonakis, Luis Guzman, David Koechner and Dane Cook.

4) Wedding Crashers

Wedding Crashers is about two friends who don’t believe in love, that specialize in crashing weddings to sleep with women. However, when they crash the U.S. Treasurer daughter’s wedding, they both fall in love with his two other daughters, who are bridesmaids in the ceremony.  It’s a comedy that stars an ensemble cast that consists of Owen Wilson, Vince Vaughn, Christopher Walkin, Bradley Cooper, Rachel McAdams and Isla Fisher.

3) Dazed and Confused

Dazed and Confused is a coming of age comedy set in 1976 about several high schoolers on their last day of school. The football players have to deal with a strict coach, the incoming freshmen get hazed and the school stoners get blazed. They all decide to throw down for a keg to party in the woods. Mathew McConaughey plays an alumni of the high school who still hangs out with everyone despite being much older than everyone. His famous slogan “alright, alright, alright” originates from this movie. There is also a young Ben Affleck who plays a senior who is a dick to all the freshen.  Daze and Confused has since gained cult status as one of the best party movies ever made.  



2) Project X

Project X is a 2012 American comedy film about three friends in high school who plan to throw a party to gain popularity. The party quickly gets out of control and ends up being on the news, causing thousands of dollars in damage. It is in the “found footage" film genre with one of the main characters recording the whole night of the party. It was filmed in Pasadena California for 12 million dollars and made 100 million world wide during it’s theatrical run.

1) Superbad

Superbad is about two high school senior best friends who are self conscious about still having their virginity. When their friend gets a fake ID, they tell the popular kids who are having a party, that they can get the alcohol. If they can impress the popular kids by getting the alcohol then maybe they can lose their virginity at the party. Superbad stars Jonah Hill, Michael Cera, Emma Stone, Bill Hader and Seth Rogan.  It was written by Seth Rogan and Evan Goldberg and loosely based off their high school experience in Vancouver in the 1990’s.
