Mo Pop festival is a relatively new festival, having started in just 2013, but it has gained itself a great reputation as being an awesome experience. It’s not the biggest of festivals, drawing at most 20,000 people. But a lot of people think that’s a good thing, because there’s less crowds to deal with. Mo Pop is known for being the ultimate indie band festival but it has also showcased a lot of hip hop in previous years, such as Vince Staples, Brockhampton and Tyler the Creator. Its located at West Riverview Park in Detroit, just west of downtown. Mo Pop schedules the performances of the bands just right so the audience can see everyone, without ever having to choose what band to see because they play at the same time. And of course there will be plenty of local food trucks and local craft beer to feed the masses. Detroit cuisine is some of the best in the nation.
