15 Funniest Roller Coaster Photos Of All Time

Rocky IV

In our first hilarious roller coaster photo, a group of friends reenact a fight scene from the movie Rocky IV. In this Cold War classic Rocky comes out of retirement to fight Ivan Drago, the fierce Soviet Union boxer who killed Rocky’s friend Apollo Creed in the ring. They got all the fine details down; Rocky, Ivan Drago, the referee, the announcer, even the fans from both the Soviet Union and America. You can tell they put a lot of thought and hard work into it. It might not be a coincidence, but they took the picture on the Raging Bull coaster at Six Flags Great America in Illinois. “Raging Bull” is also the title of a famous Martin Scorsese film that stars Robert De Niro playing a boxer too.

Presenting Simba

At the top of the Magnum XL 200 at Cedar Point, a man in a baboon mask, replays the famous scene where Refiki presents Simba to the jungle animals. This picture is so genius because the original scene in the film is so calm and serene and here this dude is flying at high speeds while he poses. With everyone excited about the new 2019 Lion King that came out recently, this pictured to make it on the list.

Shaving on the Ride

This picture is simple but freaking clever. This guy is about to go down Splash Mountain, why not use the water for a close shave? Who knows? This guy might have a job interview right after this. Hopefully he didn’t accidentally cut himself on the way down.

Family Morning Routine

This picture is so awesome because it involves a whole family as they perform their individual morning routines. The dad brushes his teeth, the son shaves, the older daughter puts on make up and the younger daughter brushes her hair. They each got their pose down very well, considering they were going like 90 miles per hour when they got their picture taken. Yup, this picture will go down in history as one of the greats. Not sure who the dude in the back is photo bombing them.

Most Important Meal of the Day

Most often the nonchalant photo poses on a speeding roller coaster are the funniest because of the contrast of the two situations. Here a girl and a group of her friends have some breakfast going down Splash Mountain. They all nailed their parts as they scarf down delicious cereal. The milk carton is a nice added detail. Well done ladies!

Dinner Date

While we are on the topic of eating on roller coasters, this next picture shows a couple in the middle of a dinner date while falling down the notorious Splash Mountain drop. They definitely get five out of five stars for production design. The guy who played the waiter should get an Oscar nom for his performance, that look is hilariously serious! The backstory behind this picture is a Redditor named Zachary (see username above) took his sister and cousin to Disneyland to get take the ridiculous photo. They had some problems on the way with Disney security because of the props they had to bring with them. The picture turned out so well that the Disneyland employees framed it for them for free.

Beer Pong

To transition away from food themed photos, this next picture is of the same people, Zachary and his sister, this time they’re playing some beer pong on their plummet below. Again, they deserve major props for their use of props (get it?). With his funny smirk at the camera and her being in the middle of a throw, this picture can’t get any better.

A Quick Game of Ping Pong

If you’re not a fan of Beer Pong and want something even more challenging then you’ll like this ping pong game going on the Comet roller coaster at Six Flags Great Escape.

Monopoly Madness

Or if boardgames are more your style, check out this group of guys playing a serious game of Monopoly while on Splash Mountain.

Addicted to Video Games

The same group of monopoly players came back to Disneyland for even more ridiculousness. This time they couldn’t put down their Gamecube controllers as the battled some Super Smash Bros down Splash mountain.

Jenga

Getting a quick game of Jenga in while you ride a roller coaster is super impressive. Too bad the game is over when you gain enough motion, which is about six seconds into the ride.

House of Cards

But for Randall and Ben Wald they wanted to do the most complicated thing they could think of on a roller coaster.  So that’s why they built a house of cards right before going down the huge 80 foot Goliath drop at Six Flags over Georgia.

Popping the Question

If you and your girl love the thrills a roller coaster brings, then proposing to her while on one could be a great idea. That’s exactly what this guy did. And she even said yes! Good thing he decided against taking out an expensive ring to give to her, he probably would have dropped it.

Another Proposal

The most romantic roller coaster proposal goes to this guy named Chris, who is holding the picture with the ring on it. Lindsay is the girl in front of him freaking out as they go down Splash Mountain. The story of their engagement is one for the ages. Chris assigned his closest friends signs and they even practiced holding them up so they wouldn’t block each other. Then he had to hide the signs from his girlfriend all day at Disneyland in a backpack so she wouldn’t suspect anything. She had no idea and when she looked at the picture at the photo booth that’s when Chris knelt down and gave her the ring. That’s freaking dope Chris, well done!

Not Clowning Around

Visual artist Brent Ray Fraser went on a roller coaster dressed as a clown showing absolutely no fear. This picture is particularly amazing because literally everyone else on the ride looks like they are having the time of their lives. The contrast is great.
