George Washington (the first President), wore dentures. It was said they were made of wood but actually they were made of bone, animal and human teeth, hippopotamus ivory, lead, brass screws and gold wire.

John Adams and Thomas Jefferson (2nd and 3rd president), hated each other guts with a passion. Adams put out an attack-ad against Jefferson during an election when they were both running for president stating that “Murder, robbery, rape, adultery and incest will be openly taught and practiced, the air will be rent with the cries of the distressed, the soil will be soaked with blood and the nation black with crimes.” Dang, politics has always been brutal.

What’s funny is that before they hated each other, they both visited William Shakespeare home together and chipped off a piece of Shakespeare chair and kept it as a souvenir

They also both ended up diving on the same exact day, July 4th, 1926. That was the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

James Madison (4th president), was only 5 foot 4 inches tall and weighed 100 pounds.

John Quincy Adams (6th president) went skinny dipping every morning in the Potomac river.

Andrew Jackson (7th president) was in around 100 duels, including one with a Senator.

Legend has it that he trained his pet parrot to curse. Allegedly, the bird had to be taken outside during his funeral because it wouldn’t stop saying bad words.

William Henry Harrison (9th president) was only president for 33 days because he got sick with typhoid and died.

James K. Polk (11th president) banned alcohol, playing cards and dancing from the Whitehouse.

Abraham Lincoln (16th president) was a really good wrestler, having won around 300 matches.

Ulysses S. Grant (18th president) was suppose to be in the theater box with Abe Lincoln the night he got shot. Grant regretted it the rest of his life saying he could have stopped it.

Grant also dismantled the Klu Klux Klan when he was in office but they eventually regrouped many years later.

James A. Garfield was ambidextrous, meaning he was both right and left handed. Reportedly, he could write in Greek with one hand and Latin with the other at the same time.

Chester A. Arthur (21st president) wanted to redecorate the White House but didn’t have the money to do so. So he sold a bunch of historical relics the White House had, including Abe Lincolns pants and one of John Quincy Adam’s hats.

Grover Cleveland (22nd president) became the legal guardian of one of his close friend’s 11 year old orphaned daughter. Ten years later he married her. She was and still is the youngest First Lady ever in US history.

Benjamin Harrison (23rd president) was the first president to have electricity in the White House. Allegedly he was so scared of getting electrocuted he would never touch the light switches and sleep with the light on sometimes.

William McKinley (25th president) wore a carnation on his coat everyday because he thought it gave him luck. On September 6th, 1901, McKinley gave his carnation to a little girl while he was out shaking hands with the public. That same day he was shot by an anarchist. He died 8 days later.

Theodore Roosevelt (26th president) got shot before he was scheduled to give a speech. The bullet went through 50 pages of notes and a metal glasses cases. Doctors said that the objects slowed the bullet down enough to save his life. Roosevelt ended up still giving the speech with the bullet still in his chest. He told the crowd he just got shot and to not hurt the man who did it.

Warren G Harding (29th president) had an affair with his wife’s best friend that was found out by love letters. He also had an affair with a woman named Nan Britton, who wrote a book about it, claiming her daughter was Harding’s child. A 2005 DNA test proved so.

Calvin Coolidge (30th president) half two pet raccoons named Ruben and Rebecca.

Herbert Hoover’s (31st president) son had two pet alligators that lived on the White House grounds.

Franklin D. Roosevelt (32nd president) made his dog named Fala a honorary army private during WWII.

John F. Kennedy (35th president) got a million dollars from his parents when he turned 21. His siblings all got the same.

Lyndon B. Johnson (36th president) was suppose to go on a bombing mission during WWII but he had to go to the bathroom so bad he got off the plane. They ended up leaving without him. The plane crashed and everyone on it died.

Richard Nixon (37th president) had a one lane bowling alley put in the White House’s basement.

Gerald R Ford (38th president) had two assassination attempts on his life in a 17 day span. Both of them were by women.

Jimmy Carter (39th president) appeared in Playboy magazine while he was campaigning.

George H.W. Bush (41st president) threw up on a Japanese Prime Minister in public in 1992. The event created a the new Japanese word “Bushusuru” which means “to do the Bush thing.”

Bill Clinton (42nd president) won two Grammy awards. In 2003, he won Best Spoken Word Album For Children: Peter and the Wolf. In 2004, he won Best Spoken Word Album: My Life.

George W. Bush (43rd president) was a cheerleader in highschool

Barack Obama (44th president) had a pet monkey named Tata when he lived Indonesia. He also ate dog while living there too.

Donald Trump (45th president) allegedly received a 13 cent check from SPY Magazine in 1990. The joke was the magazine sent these checks to some of the world’s richest people to see who would cash them. They said the only people who did was an arms dealer and Donald Trump.
