30 Bizarre Facts You Never Knew About the US Presidents

George Washington (the first President), wore dentures. It was said they were made of wood but actually they were made of bone, animal and human teeth, hippopotamus ivory, lead, brass screws and gold wire. 


John Adams and Thomas Jefferson (2nd and 3rd president), hated each other guts with a passion. Adams put out an attack-ad against Jefferson during an election when they were both running for president stating that “Murder, robbery, rape, adultery and incest will be openly taught and practiced, the air will be rent with the cries of the distressed, the soil will be soaked with blood and the nation black with crimes.” Dang, politics has always been brutal. 

What’s funny is that before they hated each other, they both visited William Shakespeare home together and chipped off a piece of Shakespeare chair and kept it as a souvenir 

They also both ended up diving on the same exact day, July 4th, 1926. That was the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
