Disney Puts "Offensive Content" Warning On "The Muppet Show"
Avert your eyes!
Those offensive Muppets are on the loose!
Anyone who streams “The Muppet Show” on Disney+ will now see a warning first — explaining that the Muppets are “offensive content.”
Disney released five seasons of the classic show on to its streaming platform, but wants viewers to beware of how offensive Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Gonzo, and Fozzie Bear are.
“This program includes negative depictions and/or mistreatment of people or cultures. These stereotypes were wrong then and are wrong now,” the disclaimer states.
Disney is also putting this warning ahead of “Dumbo,” “Peter Pan,” and “Swiss Family Robinson.”
Ah yes, those offensive cartoons, Dumbo and Peter Pan.
Here’s just some of the extremely offensive content now available on Disney.
Heavens to Betsy.
We’re so, so sorry you had to see that.
